Thank you for your interest in interning with Double Dan Horsemanship USA. Double Dan Horsemanship (DDH) is proud to have taken many interns over the years and enjoys getting to know them, mentoring them, educating them, and helping them achieve their career ambitions.
Dan James is based at the Australian Equine Performance Center in Midway, KY where he fills his days starting colts, training horses, teaching lessons, hosting clinics, preparing for shows, filming, working on the farm and much more. Interns get to experience all of this first hand. We have an exciting 2017 planned and if you are interested in interning with DDH we would like to encourage you to apply for one of our limited intern positions. This year we will only be taking two interns. To apply please fill out the form below and attach your resume.
Before you apply, however, we want to share with you a little bit about the DDH Intern Program. The cost of the program is $1500/month. Interns must stay a minimum of one month but can stay longer if they would like. The internship program cost includes a private room at the Australian Equine Performance Center, all utilities, free WiFi, and a food allowance. Intern tasks include feeding, mucking stalls, general horse care, and farm maintenance. Interns may also ride while they are here depending on their skill level and interest areas. All of us at Double Dan Horsemanship are very invested in our intern program. In fact, all of our full-time employees started out as interns.
We hope you will take some time to consider if the Double Dan Horsemanship Intern Program is right for you. Please feel free to explore our Double Dan Horsemanship website, Facebook page and Instagram account to learn more about us and what we do. You can also visit the farm website or the Australian Equine Performance Center Facebook page.
If you have any questions please email them to Elizabeth James at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing from you!
