Internship Program

Thank you for your interest in the Double Dan Horsemanship, USA Internship Program. Double Dan Horsemanship, USA is based at the Australian Equine Performance Center in Midway, Kentucky. There Dan James fills his days training the DDH Team, preparing shows for upcoming performances, starting colts, teaching lessons, hosting clinics, filming, working on the farm and much more. Interns get to experience all of this first hand. This is a very exciting time and if you are interested in interning with DDH we would like to encourage you to apply for one of our limited intern positions.

Before you apply, however, we would like to share with you a little bit about the DDH Intern Program. The cost of the program is $1500/month. Interns must stay a minimum of one month but can stay longer if they would like. The internship program cost includes a private or shared room (depending on the number of interns) at the Australian Equine Performance Center, all utilities, free WiFi, and food. Intern tasks include feeding, mucking stalls, general horse care, and farm maintenance. Interns may also ride during their internship depending on their skill level and interest areas.

All of us at Double Dan Horsemanship are very invested in our intern program. In fact, all of our full-time employees started out at interns. We hope you will take some time to consider if the Double Dan Horsemanship Intern Program is right for you. Please feel free to explore our Double Dan Horsemanship website, Facebook page, and Instagram account to learn more about us. You can also visit the farm website or the Australian Equine Performance Center Facebook page.
